- Oversee the planning and implementation of medical equipment across all Sutter Health hospitals and facilities.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of all medical equipment.
- Manage a team of clinical engineers and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technology trends in clinical engineering.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to determine equipment needs and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
- Monitor and manage equipment inventory, including tracking usage, maintenance schedules, and replacements.
- Train hospital staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Identify and address any technical issues or concerns related to medical equipment.
- Develop and manage budgets for equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in departmental and organizational meetings and provide updates and recommendations as needed.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the clinical engineering team.
- Provide support and guidance to hospital staff during emergencies or equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
- Act as a liaison between clinical engineering and other departments within Sutter Health.
- Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on equipment status and any potential issues.
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with hospital staff and other stakeholders.
- Uphold Sutter Health's values and mission of providing high-quality patient care.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Clinical Engineering Or Healthcare Technology Management.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Medical Equipment And Technology.
Familiarity With Project Management Principles And Experience Overseeing Large Equipment Installations Or Upgrades.
