- Safely transport patients throughout the healthcare facility, including to and from procedures, exams, and other appointments.
- Ensure timely and efficient transport of patients to minimize wait times and maintain the flow of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to provide a positive and comforting experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient transport, including documenting any necessary information or changes in the patient's condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to protect the well-being of patients and staff during transport.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient patient transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including maintaining and sanitizing patient transport equipment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline the patient transport process.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Most Patient Transporter Positions At Sutter Health Require Candidates To Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Such As A Ged.
Cpr Certification: Since Patient Transporters Are Responsible For Transporting Patients Who May Be In Critical Condition, A Cpr Certification Is Often Required To Ensure They Can Provide Emergency Care If Necessary.
Previous Healthcare Experience: While Not Always Required, Having Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Can Be Beneficial For A Patient Transporter Role.
Excellent Communication Skills: Patient Transporters Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure A Smooth And Safe Transport Process.
Physical Fitness: This Job Often Requires Lifting And Moving Patients Who May Be Bedridden Or Have Limited Mobility. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Risk Of Injury.
