
PBX/Telecommunications Operator

- Manage incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering general inquiries and providing accurate information to callers.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the phone system and report any malfunctions or errors.
- Ensure all communication equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For The Role Of Pbx/Telecommunications Operator At Sutter Health. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Communication Skills Necessary For The Job.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For A Pbx/Telecommunications Operator. This Includes The Ability To Speak Clearly And Professionally On The Phone And Relay Important Information Accurately.
Multi-Tasking Abilities: A Pbx/Telecommunications Operator Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Answering Phone Calls, Transferring Calls, And Responding To Emails. The Ability To Prioritize And Stay Organized In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Crucial.
Knowledge Of Telecommunications Equipment: Experience With Operating And Troubleshooting Pbx And Other Telecommunications Equipment Is Preferred For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Phone Lines, Call Routing, And Voicemail Systems.
Customer Service Experience: As A Pbx/Telecommunications Operator, You Will Be The First Point Of Contact For Many Patients And Visitors. Therefore, Prior Experience In A Customer Service Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting, Is Highly Desirable.
