
Registered Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit

- Provide exceptional care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor and assess patients' post-surgical condition and provide appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and potential complications.
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress of patients.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a compassionate and supportive attitude towards patients and their families during their recovery.
- Participate in unit meetings and continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in post anesthesia care.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the operating room and recovery room, to ensure a smooth transition of care for patients.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and the overall quality of care provided in the PACU.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu) Setting.
Current Certification In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls).
Strong Critical Thinking Skills And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining A High Level Of Patient Care.
