
Staff Nurse, Emergency Department

- Provide high-quality patient care: The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in the Emergency Department. This includes assessing patients' needs, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring patient progress.
- Utilize strong clinical skills: The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be able to handle a wide range of medical situations in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information and effectively communicating with other healthcare professionals.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort: The Staff Nurse will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. This includes monitoring vital signs, responding to patient needs, and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: The Staff Nurse will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients. This may include communicating with physicians, pharmacists, and other team members to develop and implement treatment plans.

Valid Rn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Staff Nurse In The Emergency Department At Sutter Health Is A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Provide Safe And Competent Care To Patients.
Bls And Acls Certifications: Due To The Fast-Paced And Often Critical Nature Of Emergency Care, Nurses In The Emergency Department At Sutter Health Must Be Certified In Both Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls). These Certifications Demonstrate The Nurse's Ability To Respond Quickly And Appropriately In Emergency Situations.
Prior Emergency Department Experience: Sutter Health Seeks Candidates With Previous Experience Working In An Emergency Department Setting. This Experience Provides Nurses With A Solid Foundation In Emergency Care, Including Triage, Trauma Management, And Working In A High-Stress Environment.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Are Crucial In The Fast-Paced And Ever-Changing Environment Of The Emergency Department. Staff Nurses At Sutter Health Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Patients, Families, And The Multidisciplinary Team, As Well As Think Quickly And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.
Ability To Work In A Team: The Emergency Department At Sutter Health Is A Highly Collaborative Environment, And Nurses Must Be Able To Work Effectively As Part Of A Team. This Includes Being Able To Communicate And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Being Willing To Take On Leadership Roles When Necessary.
