
Stationary Engineer

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum temperature, humidity, and air quality levels in accordance with regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems and determine appropriate solutions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and staff
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify and address facility needs
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to building systems and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance
- Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize impact on daily operations
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as boilers, chillers, and generators, in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position, As Well As Completion Of A Certified Stationary Engineer Training Program.
Experience: At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Stationary Engineer In A Healthcare Or Similar Facility Is Preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Extensive Knowledge Of Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, And Central Plant Operations Is Required. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Building Automation Systems And Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Licensure And Certifications: A Valid Stationary Engineer License/Certification From The State Or Local Authority Is Required. Additional Certifications Such As Universal Cfc Or Epa Refrigeration Technician Certification May Also Be Preferred.
Physical Requirements: This Position Requires The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Equipment, Climb Ladders, And Work In Confined Spaces. Candidates Must Also Be Able To Stand, Walk, And Bend For Extended Periods Of Time.
