
Benefits Specialist
Administers benefit programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans, for KU. Maintains accurate benefits records; prepares necessary documents to implement, change and/or terminate coverage. Analyzes, interprets and processes changes to benefits due to changes in employee, family status or other changes. Counsels employees regarding benefit programs including medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance. Provide benefits recommendations on new system implementations and upgrades. Provides analysis and documentation to auditing authorities as needed. Maintains a general knowledge of benefit program trends.
