- Mentor and advise students in their academic and career pursuits, providing guidance and support for their research projects and internships.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department and the University community.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of interdisciplinary programs and initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental awareness.

- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new faculty members, ensuring a diverse and qualified team.
- Manage departmental resources, including budgets, equipment, and facilities, to support research, teaching, and service activities.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field of environmental studies.
- Represent the department and the University at conferences, community events, and other relevant forums.
- Maintain a strong record of scholarly publications and presentations to advance the field of environmental studies and enhance the reputation of the University.

Extensive Academic And Professional Experience In The Field Of Environmental Studies. This Could Include A Phd Or Other Advanced Degree In A Related Field, As Well As A Record Of Publications, Grants, And Other Scholarly Achievements.
Proven Leadership And Management Skills, Particularly In A University Setting. The Director And Assoc/Full Prof Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Department Or Program, As Well As Supervising Faculty And Staff And Working With Students.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Abilities. The Director And Assoc/Full Prof Will Need To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Students, Staff, And Community Partners, To Advance The Goals And Mission Of The Environmental Studies Program.
