- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide reports to supervisors when necessary.
- Handle confidential student information with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills.
- Act as a positive role model and advocate for the importance of writing in academic and professional settings.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Writing Center and support its mission of promoting writing excellence at the University of Kansas.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In English, Creative Writing, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Coaching Or Tutoring Writing At The College Level.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Various Writing Styles, Including Academic, Creative, And Professional.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Constructive Feedback And Support To Students.
Familiarity With Current Writing Resources And Software, Such As Online Writing Platforms And Citation Tools.
