1. Assist the Wine Buyer in selecting and procuring a diverse and high-quality wine collection for Total Wine & More.
2. Conduct research on various wineries, regions, and varietals to stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products.
3. Maintain and update inventory records, including pricing, quantities, and product information.
4. Collaborate with the Wine Buyer to create promotional and marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
5. Utilize strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with wineries, distributors, and other industry professionals.
6. Support the Wine Buyer in negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and maximize profitability.
7. Assist in organizing and conducting wine tastings and events to educate customers and promote featured products.
8. Continuously monitor and analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product selection and purchasing.
9. Train and educate sales associates on new products and industry knowledge to enhance their ability to assist customers.
10. Stay current on industry regulations and laws related to the sale and distribution of alcohol.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, marketing, and operations to ensure a cohesive and successful wine buying strategy.
12. Contribute to the overall growth and success of the wine department and Total Wine & More through innovative ideas and suggestions.
