- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging wine regions to assist in curating the selection at Total Wine & More.
- Work closely with the Wine Buyer to develop and execute strategic buying plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with wineries and distributors to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of wines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional and educational materials for featured wines.
- Conduct tastings and provide recommendations to customers and staff to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of wine.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify top-selling wines, as well as areas for improvement and growth.
- Assist in inventory management and pricing strategies to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Stay organized and maintain accurate records of purchases and sales, and assist in tracking and managing expenses.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and providing personalized recommendations.
- Stay informed about and adhere to all industry regulations and laws related to the sale and distribution of alcohol.
Knowledge Of Wine Industry: A Successful Assistant Wine Buyer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Wine Industry, Including Trends, Regions, And Varietals.
Experience In Buying: Previous Experience In Purchasing Or Buying Within The Wine Industry Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Sourcing, Negotiating, And Managing Inventory.
