- Conduct wine tastings and classes for customers to educate them about different wines and winemaking processes.
- Provide personalized recommendations based on customers' preferences and budget.
- Possess a deep understanding of different wines, including their origins, flavor profiles, and pairings.
- Continuously expand knowledge and stay up-to-date on industry trends and new wine releases.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to create a loyal customer base.
- Assist customers with wine selections and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with other team members to create engaging and informative displays and events.
- Keep track of inventory and make recommendations for restocking popular wines.
- Provide training and support to other team members on wine knowledge and customer service skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized wine section of the store.
- Work with store management to meet sales goals and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Total Wine & More by representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Act as a resource for customers, answering questions and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve the customer experience and provide feedback to management.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Extensive Knowledge Of Wine: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Different Types Of Wines, Including Grape Varieties, Regions, Production Methods, And Flavor Profiles. They Should Also Be Able To Make Recommendations And Provide Information To Customers.
Experience In The Wine Industry: Previous Experience Working In The Wine Industry, Whether In A Retail Setting Or At A Winery, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Strong Passion For Wine And An Understanding Of The Industry.
Sales And Customer Service Skills: As A Wine Specialist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Promoting And Selling Wines To Customers. They Should Have Excellent Sales And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Educate Customers About Wine.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Wine Specialist Will Be Interacting With Customers, Colleagues, And Vendors On A Daily Basis. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Confidently About Wine-Related Topics.
Attention To Detail: A Wine Specialist Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail, As They Will Be Responsible For Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records, Ensuring Proper Pricing And Labeling Of Products, And Organizing Displays And Promotions.
