In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with grateful patients and their families, with the goal of securing philanthropic support for UCLA Health.   1. Develop and implement strategies for identifying and cultivating relationships with grateful patients and their families.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with grateful patients, ensuring a high level of donor stewardship and engagement.
  3. Work closely with UCLA Health leadership, physicians, and staff to identify potential grateful patients and develop customized cultivation and solicitation plans.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues in the development department to develop and implement fundraising strategies and initiatives for grateful patients.
  5. Manage a portfolio of grateful patients, including identifying and qualifying prospects, cultivating relationships, and soliciting gifts.
  6. Plan and execute events and activities specifically tailored to engage and recognize grateful patients.
  7. Utilize data and analytics to track and report on grateful patient fundraising progress and results.
  8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of UCLA Health's programs, services, and priorities to effectively communicate with grateful patients and their families.
  9. Collaborate with grateful patients and their families to develop meaningful giving opportunities that align with their philanthropic goals and interests.
  10. Work with the development team to create personalized giving opportunities and recognition for grateful patients, including naming opportunities, donor societies, and special events.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to grateful patients and their families, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in grateful patient fundraising, and use this knowledge to enhance and improve fundraising efforts.
  13. Maintain accurate and detailed records of grateful patient interactions and gift information in the donor database.
  14. Represent UCLA Health at events and meetings, promoting the organization's mission and fundraising initiatives.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve grateful patient fundraising strategies and techniques to increase donor retention and support for UCLA Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Or Communications.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Development And Fundraising, Preferably Within A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Donor Cultivation, Stewardship, And Recognition Strategies.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Donors, Colleagues, And Senior Leadership.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively, With Excellent Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
