Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a High School Prevention Program Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and oversee prevention programs for high school students, with a focus on promoting mental health and wellness.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive prevention program for high school students, including identifying key areas of focus and creating appropriate curriculum.
  2. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure the program is effectively meeting the needs of the students.
  3. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with students to address mental health concerns and provide support.
  4. Create and facilitate workshops and presentations on various mental health topics for students, teachers, and parents.
  5. Build relationships with community organizations and resources to enhance the program and provide additional support for students.
  6. Evaluate and track program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  7. Serve as a resource and advocate for students, providing guidance and referrals for additional support as needed.
  8. Train and supervise a team of volunteers and interns to assist with program delivery.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in mental health and prevention programming for adolescents.
  10. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and program outcomes.
  11. Collaborate with other members of the UCLA Health team to ensure a holistic approach to student wellness.
  12. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of mental health and prevention.
  13. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns.
  14. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards as outlined by the National Association of Social Workers and state regulations.
  15. Represent UCLA Health in the community and at relevant conferences and events to promote the program and raise awareness of mental health in high schools.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work (Msw) From An Accredited University.

  • Current Lcsw License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working With Adolescents And/Or In A School Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Prevention Strategies And Interventions For High School Students.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With School Personnel, Community Partners, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
