  1. Develop and implement prevention programs for high school students, in alignment with the mission and values of UCLA Health.
  2. Utilize expertise in psychology and experience working with high school students to develop effective and evidence-based programs.
  3. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to identify the mental health needs of students and tailor programs to address those needs.
  4. Design program curriculum and materials, ensuring they are age-appropriate and engaging for high school students.
  5. Conduct research and stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in mental health and wellness for young adults.
  6. Train and supervise program facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery of programs.
  7. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand the reach and impact of the program.
  9. Provide individual counseling and support to students as needed.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities and participant progress.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all aspects of program development and implementation.
  12. Represent UCLA Health at conferences, workshops, and other events related to mental health promotion for young adults.
  13. Act as a resource for students, parents, and school staff regarding mental health and wellness.
  14. Collaborate with other mental health professionals within UCLA Health to provide a comprehensive approach to supporting the mental health needs of high school students.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance skills and knowledge in this field.

Job Qualifications
  • A Doctoral Degree In Psychology, With A Specialization In School Or Clinical Psychology.

  • A Valid License To Practice Psychology In The State Of California.

  • A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working With Adolescents In A School Or Community Setting.

  • Knowledge And Experience In Implementing Evidence-Based Prevention Programs For Substance Abuse, Mental Health, And/Or Violence Prevention.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With School Personnel And Community Partners To Develop And Implement Effective Prevention Strategies.
