Job Description

The Policy Analyst will report directly to the Director of Mobilization and identify as a highly motivated individual who can thrive as both a strategic and analytical partner. This role requires a person with the acumen to support sophisticated legislative research and advocacy initiatives, exceptional organization and project management skills, and the interpersonal savvy to collaborate with a diverse array of policy stakeholders and external partners. The Policy Analyst staffs the Director of Mobilization in meeting organizational deliverables relating to state, local, and federal policy goals and will be responsible for executing high-level public-facing projects, from increasing Latino representation in decision-making bodies, to evaluating the efficacy of government investments in communities of color. The Policy Analyst will serve as the Director of Mobilization's representative as needed in a wide variety of settings both on and off-campus to increase the public profile and impact of UCLA LPPI as the university seeks to achieve Hispanic Serving Institution status by 2025.

Job Qualifications
  • One to three years of professional experience operating in a fast-paced, execution-focused professional setting

  • Masters or equivalent in public policy, political science, economics, sociology, urban planning preferred

  • Demonstrated interest in public policy and politics as it relates to the nation's diverse Latino communities.
