
Clinical Pharmacist – Critical Care

The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to providing the highest quality of patient-centered care and have extensive experience in an acute care setting.We are seeking a professional who has excellent communication and organizational skills, an unwavering dedication to excellent customer service, and a thorough knowledge of medication safety principles. The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and a minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in a critical care setting and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of North Carolina.The Clinical Pharmacist – Critical Care will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Manage the medication-related needs of patients in a critical care setting.
- Ensure that medication orders are accurate and comply with standards of care.
- Monitor, review, and evaluate patient medication orders for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with physicians and other health care providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide education and training to team members and other health care providers on appropriate medication use and safety.
- Monitor and review medication inventory levels and order medications as needed.
- Review and interpret laboratory values and adjust medications accordingly.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in clinical and operational meetings to ensure patient safety goals are met.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible In Clinical Pharmacology
Doctoral Degree In Pharmacy (Pharmd) Or Equivalent
Minimum Of Two Years Of Clinical Experience
Knowledge Of American Society Of Health System Pharmacists (Ashp) Standards
Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians
