At UNC Health Care, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Office Assistant Administrative to join our team. This position is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to use their medical office administration skills in a fast-paced and rewarding healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a sincere commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Medical Office Assistant Administrative will be a key member of the UNC Health Care team, providing a wide range of administrative, clerical, and customer service functions. To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of two years experience in medical office administration, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications, and a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide administrative support for the medical office, including scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and other clerical tasks.
  2. Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients, doctors, and other staff members.
  3. Greet patients and visitors as they enter the office, and provide them with necessary forms and instructions.
  4. Ensure HIPAA compliance by maintaining patient confidentiality.
  5. Maintain an organized and efficient medical office environment.
  6. Process patient payments, verify insurance coverage, and file insurance claims.
  7. Utilize computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, to manage patient records and generate reports.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients, doctors, and other staff members.
  9. Assist with any other duties as assigned.
