Nursing Assistant - General Medicine

UNC Health Care is looking for a compassionate and reliable Nursing Assistant to provide support to our General Medicine Unit. In this position, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with patient activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care and assistance with patient activities as instructed by the Registered Nurse.
2. Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
3. Assist with ambulation and transfer of patients.
4. Measure and record vital signs and other medical information as directed by the Registered Nurse.
5. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.
6. Assist with preparation and delivery of meals.
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
9. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
10. Participate in training and other educational activities as directed.
