Occupational/Employee Health Nurse

The successful candidate will have exceptional clinical expertise and a strong commitment to providing quality services.The ideal candidate for this role must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field. The successful candidate must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive occupational health care services to UNC Health Care employees
2. Maintain current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
3. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
4. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
5. Interact with all levels of staff and management
6. Remain up-to-date on occupational health regulations and best practices
7. Develop and implement strategies to promote employee health and safety
8. Consult with employees and managers on a variety of health-related issues
9. Monitor employee health evaluations and records
10. Develop and deliver health education programs for employees
11. Manage Workers' Compensation cases and return-to-work programs
12. Facilitate referrals to outside providers, as needed
