Job Description

At UNC Health Care, we are looking for an exceptional Occupational/Employee Health Nurse to join our team. This dynamic and collaborative role will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational health care services to our employees. The successful candidate will have exceptional clinical expertise and a strong commitment to providing quality services.The ideal candidate for this role must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field. The successful candidate must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive occupational health care services to UNC Health Care employees
  2. Maintain current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
  3. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
  4. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Interact with all levels of staff and management
  6. Remain up-to-date on occupational health regulations and best practices
  7. Develop and implement strategies to promote employee health and safety
  8. Consult with employees and managers on a variety of health-related issues
  9. Monitor employee health evaluations and records
  10. Develop and deliver health education programs for employees
  11. Manage Workers' Compensation cases and return-to-work programs
  12. Facilitate referrals to outside providers, as needed
