
Director Privacy and Compliance

- Develop and implement privacy and compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines for the company.
- Monitor and ensure the company's compliance with all relevant privacy laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential privacy and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy and compliance requirements are incorporated into business processes and systems.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in privacy laws and regulations and communicate any updates or changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and address any privacy and compliance incidents or breaches.
- Provide training and education to employees on privacy and compliance matters.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all privacy and compliance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends.
- Prepare and submit reports on privacy and compliance activities to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all contracts and agreements comply with privacy and compliance requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of privacy impact assessments for new projects and initiatives.
- Maintain and update the company's privacy policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
- Oversee and manage the team responsible for privacy and compliance activities.
- Act as an advocate for privacy and compliance within the company and promote a culture of compliance awareness.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Information Technology, Legal Studies, Or Business Administration
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Privacy And Compliance, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Insurance Industry
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Privacy Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards Such As Hipaa, Hitech, And Gdpr
Strong Leadership And Management Skills With Experience In Developing And Implementing Privacy And Compliance Programs
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Communicate Complex Compliance Issues To Executive Leadership.
