- Assist with planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for patients.
- Ensure meals and snacks meet dietary restrictions and special requirements.
- Work closely with healthcare team to develop individualized meal plans for patients.
- Monitor and record patients' food and fluid intake.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dietary areas.
- Educate patients on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and place orders as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dietary services to meet patient needs.
- Attend trainings and stay updated on nutrition and dietary guidelines.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Assist with other dietary tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service.
Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Dietary Technician Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.
Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Food Service Management, And Dietary Guidelines.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Professionals And Patients.
