- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and provide guidance on meal planning.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
- Work closely with the Registered Dietitian to ensure patients are receiving appropriate nutrition care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' nutrition plans and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide support and address any concerns or questions.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards in the preparation and distribution of meals.
- Stay current on developments and new research in the field of nutrition and incorporate this knowledge into practice.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and understanding towards patients and their individual needs.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with patients and colleagues.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field
Registered Dietetic Technician (Dtr) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Ability To Develop Individualized Meal Plans Based On Patients' Needs
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Patients, Healthcare Team, And Food Service Staff
