  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children to identify developmental, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
  2. Utilize evidence-based treatments to address a wide range of developmental, behavioral, and mental health issues in children.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and educators, to provide holistic care for children.
  4. Develop individualized treatment plans for children based on their specific needs and goals.
  5. Provide therapy and counseling services to children and their families to help them cope with challenges and improve overall functioning.
  6. Monitor and track progress of children in therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  7. Conduct parent/caregiver education and training to support the implementation of treatment strategies at home.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in pediatric developmental behavioral psychology.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all aspects of patient care.
  12. Cultivate a safe and supportive environment for children and families, promoting trust and open communication.
  13. Participate in outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of pediatric developmental and behavioral health.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve clinical processes and procedures to provide high-quality care.
  15. Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals and students in the field of pediatric developmental behavioral psychology.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Clinical Psychology: A Clinical Psychologist At University Hospitals Of Cleveland Medical Center Should Have A Doctoral Degree In Clinical Psychology From An Accredited University. This Typically Takes 4-6 Years Of Graduate Study, Including Supervised Clinical Experience.

  • Licensure: The Candidate Should Be Licensed To Practice Psychology In The State Of Ohio. This Requires Passing A National Exam And Completing A Certain Number Of Supervised Clinical Hours.

  • Specialization In Pediatric Developmental And Behavioral Psychology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Specialized Training And Experience In Working With Children And Adolescents, Specifically In The Area Of Developmental And Behavioral Psychology. This Could Include Coursework, Clinical Rotations, And Research In This Field.

  • Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center Setting. This Should Include Experience Conducting Psychological Assessments, Providing Individual And Group Therapy, And Working With Multidisciplinary Teams.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Clinical Psychologist At A Medical Center, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport, Collaborating With Others, And Providing Effective Treatment.
