Job Description

The director of communications is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive communications and marketing program for the School of Integrated Health Sciences at UNLV. Duties include creating and maintaining a communications plan that highlights faculty and student achievement and ties school priorities with key university initiatives; developing and/or managing creation of internal and external communications materials (collateral, news releases, feature and web content, advertising, and online and social media) for the school, its signature programs, faculty, staff and students. Cultivating and maintaining a strong media presence through strategic outreach; and supporting annual and signature event programming and production.

Job Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of comparable professional experience.

  • Experience in the production of materials such as news releases, briefing papers, web-specific content

  • The ability to be a self-starter able to manage multiple projects and prioritize issues under deadline.
