  1. Maintain and troubleshoot flight simulators to ensure they are functioning properly for pilot training and testing purposes.
  2. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on flight simulators to ensure they meet industry and company standards.
  3. Identify and diagnose technical issues with flight simulators and develop effective solutions.
  4. Operate and program flight simulators to simulate various flight scenarios and conditions.
  5. Collaborate with other technicians and aviation professionals to implement improvements and upgrades to flight simulator systems.
  6. Monitor and report on the performance and utilization of flight simulators.
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on flight simulators.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while working with flight simulators.
  9. Train and mentor new technicians on flight simulator operations and maintenance procedures.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
  11. Communicate effectively with management and other team members to provide updates on flight simulator maintenance and any issues that may arise.
  12. Stay informed on industry developments and advancements in flight simulator technology to enhance our training capabilities.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficient operations.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures and promote a positive and professional work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Flight Simulation Technology And Equipment: A Flight Simulator Technician At Ups Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Flight Simulation Technology And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain Various Simulation Equipment Such As Flight Controls, Visual Systems, And Computer Hardware.

  • Experience In Aviation Maintenance: Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience In Aviation Maintenance, Preferably With A Focus On Flight Simulation Equipment. This Will Ensure They Are Familiar With Industry Standards And Regulations For Maintaining And Repairing Aircraft Equipment.

  • Excellent Technical Skills: A Flight Simulator Technician Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals, Schematics, And Drawings. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Various Tools And Diagnostic Equipment To Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role, As Flight Simulator Technicians Must Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Quickly Diagnose And Fix Problems During Simulation Sessions.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Other Technicians And Flight Instructors, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively As Part Of A Team. A Flight Simulator Technician Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Technical Information And Work Well With Others To Ensure Proper Maintenance And Operation Of The Simulators.
