This position performs research and develops tools/systems to support robotics and automation for UPS. The applicant collaborates with other R&D Engineers, Research Scientists, and business units, ensuring a seamless transition of tools and systems to internal business units and external vendors. Provides ideation, mechanical design, and prototyping services to support multiple projects within UPS ATG. Serves as design lead for assigned projects, and manages relationships with internal customers. Leads activities around operation, maintenance, and user programming development for ATG Rapid Prototyping Lab. Manages work planning and progress reporting for assigned projects. Guides junior engineering staff in support of project work.
