Assistant Buyer

4. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and terms.
5. Assist with developing and executing merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet company goals.
6. Review and analyze product samples to ensure they meet brand standards and quality.
7. Create and maintain purchase orders and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
8. Work closely with the planning and allocation team to ensure proper distribution of inventory.
9. Attend trade shows and meetings with vendors to stay informed on new products and negotiate deals.
10. Assist in managing inventory levels and making recommendations for markdowns and promotions.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, visual merchandising, and operations to ensure cohesive execution of merchandise strategies.
12. Stay informed on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies.
13. Provide support to the Buying team in daily tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.
14. Represent the Urban Outfitters brand with enthusiasm and passion for fashion.
