As a Buying Assistant for our Accessories department, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting in the procurement and selection of merchandise that aligns with our brand and resonates with our customers.   1. Assist in identifying and sourcing new and on-trend accessories for Urban Outfitters' customers.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on the latest fashion trends and customer preferences.
  3. Collaborate with the Buying team to develop and execute buying strategies that align with the brand's overall vision.
  4. Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  5. Manage purchase orders and track inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  6. Assist in creating and maintaining product assortments that appeal to the target demographic.
  7. Contribute to the development of pricing strategies that are in line with market trends and customer expectations.
  8. Participate in product development meetings and provide valuable insights on potential new products.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of buying and selling activities.
  10. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Visual Merchandising and Marketing, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and presentation.
  11. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  12. Consistently ensure that all merchandise meets quality standards and aligns with the brand's aesthetic.
  13. Stay informed about competitors and market trends to inform buying decisions.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to merchandise.
  15. Assist in the preparation and execution of promotional events and sales.
