As the Department Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and maintaining the overall operations of the department.   1. Lead and manage a team of service and styling associates to provide exceptional customer service and create a unique shopping experience for our customers.
  2. Drive sales and meet departmental goals by monitoring and analyzing sales performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective strategies.
  3. Develop and implement training programs to ensure all associates are knowledgeable about products, services, and company policies.
  4. Maintain the overall operations of the department, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration among associates.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer preferences, and competition to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
  9. Create and maintain schedules for the department, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
  10. Collaborate with other department managers and store management to achieve overall store objectives and maintain a cohesive work environment.
  11. Uphold the company's values and promote a culture of individuality, creativity, and self-expression.
  12. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience and increase efficiency.
  13. Represent the brand in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Retail Management: A Department Manager At Urban Outfitters Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Retail Management, Preferably In A Similar Role.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills With The Ability To Motivate And Manage A Team To Achieve Sales Targets And Provide Exceptional Customer Service.

  • Knowledge Of Fashion And Trends: A Deep Understanding Of Fashion And Current Trends Is Crucial For This Role As The Department Manager Will Be Responsible For Curating And Styling The Store's Merchandise To Attract Customers And Drive Sales.

  • Customer Service Focus: The Department Manager Should Have A Strong Focus On Customer Service And Be Able To Train And Develop Their Team To Provide An Exceptional Shopping Experience For Customers.

  • Organizational And Time Management Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills To Effectively Manage Inventory, Visual Merchandising, And Employee Schedules To Ensure The Store Runs Smoothly And Efficiently.
