Job Description

Are you a creative individual with a passion for fashion and design? Do you have an eye for trends and a strong aesthetic sense? Urban Outfitters is seeking a Design Assistant to join our dynamic team and help bring our brand to life. As a Design Assistant, you will work closely with our design team to assist in the creation of new and innovative products that will resonate with our customers. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. If you have a love for design and are ready to dive into the world of retail fashion, we want to hear from you!

  1. Collaborate with the design team to develop new and innovative products that align with the brand's aesthetic and target audience.
  2. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and conduct market research to identify potential design opportunities.
  3. Assist in creating mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for new product concepts.
  4. Work closely with the design team to source materials and trims for product development.
  5. Attend fittings and provide feedback on fit, construction, and design details.
  6. Maintain organization and accuracy in design and product development files and records.
  7. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, production, and sourcing to ensure product timelines are met.
  8. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for product development.
  9. Assist in creating and maintaining design sketches, line sheets, and other necessary documents for presentations and meetings.
  10. Continuously strive to learn and improve design skills and techniques through mentorship and training opportunities.
  11. Adhere to brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency in design and brand image.
  12. Collaborate with the design team to review and approve product samples for production.
  13. Help manage and coordinate sample requests and shipments for photoshoots, marketing, and other company needs.
  14. Support the design team in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, including administrative duties.
  15. Demonstrate a strong passion for fashion and design, and a willingness to contribute to the brand's overall success.

  • Strong Design Skills: A Design Assistant At Urban Outfitters Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Design Principles And Techniques. This Includes Proficiency In Adobe Creative Suite And Other Relevant Design Software.
