
Senior Merchandise Planner

- Develop and implement merchandise planning strategies to drive sales and profitability for the company.
- Analyze sales data and consumer trends to identify opportunities for new product offerings and improve existing assortments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and maximize sales potential.
- Create and maintain merchandise plans, including assortment plans, product allocation, and inventory levels.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels to minimize excess and maximize sell-through.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay updated on market trends and competitor strategies.
- Use forecasting models to predict product demand and plan accordingly.
- Communicate with vendors and negotiate pricing and terms to ensure profitability and maintain strong relationships.
- Participate in the development of product pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Mentor and train junior merchandise planners to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with visual merchandisers to ensure product displays are aligned with merchandise plans and company brand.
- Stay updated on industry and market trends to inform merchandise planning decisions.
- Participate in budget planning and provide input on financial goals and targets.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators to senior management.
- Represent the company at trade shows and events to identify new trends and potential vendors.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Merchandising, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Merchandise Planning, Preferably In The Retail Industry.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Data And Identify Key Trends.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Buying, Marketing, And Store Teams.
Proficient In Retail Math And Merchandise Planning Software, Such As Jda Or Oracle Retail.
