Job Description

  1. Oversee and manage the transportation department, including all drivers and vehicles.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
  3. Ensure all transportation operations comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  4. Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  6. Hire, train, and mentor transportation team members, including drivers and support staff.
  7. Create and maintain schedules and routes for transportation team.
  8. Manage and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and negotiate contracts.
  9. Develop and implement procedures for tracking and reporting transportation metrics.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology to continuously improve transportation operations.
  11. Resolve any issues or concerns related to transportation, including customer complaints and driver safety.
  12. Monitor and manage transportation budget to ensure financial targets are met.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  14. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to improve overall company performance.
  15. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on transportation operations and performance.
  16. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  17. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for transportation team members.
  18. Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes to drive innovation and efficiency.
  19. Stay informed on industry developments and changing regulations to ensure compliance and proactively address any potential impacts on transportation operations.
  20. Serve as a role model for the company's values and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Management, Preferably In The Food Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Transportation Regulations, Laws, And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills.

  • Proven Track Record Of Managing And Optimizing Transportation Processes To Improve Efficiency And Reduce Costs.
