This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and assets. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain the security of Valmont Industries' facilities, employees, and assets.
  2. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any potential security risks or breaches.
  3. Respond to security alarms and investigate any suspicious activities or incidents.
  4. Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on the premises.
  5. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services in the event of a security breach or emergency situation.
  6. Create and maintain detailed reports of all security incidents, including any necessary documentation or evidence.
  7. Monitor and maintain security equipment, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
  8. Conduct security checks on employees, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the premises.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to all individuals on the premises, including employees, visitors, and vendors.
  10. Stay up-to-date on the latest security protocols and procedures and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  11. Handle any high-stress or emergency situations with professionalism, composure, and quick decision-making.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper security measures are in place for company events and meetings.
  13. Conduct training and educational sessions for employees on security procedures and protocols.
  14. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times to promote a safe and secure work environment.
  15. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position, As It Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And The Ability To Follow Instructions And Regulations.

  • Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement: Previous Experience In The Security Or Law Enforcement Field Is Highly Desirable For This Role, As It Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of A Protection Services Officer Effectively.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Protection Services Officers Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Both Colleagues And The General Public. They Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Handle Potentially Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Tact.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours: Protection Services Officers May Be Required To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays, So The Ability To Work A Flexible Schedule Is Essential For This Role.

  • Physical Fitness And Endurance: The Job Of A Protection Services Officer May Require Standing Or Walking For Long Periods, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects. Therefore, Physical Fitness And Endurance Are Important Qualifications For This Position.
