- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology and cybersecurity audit plan for Verizon, ensuring coverage of all critical systems and processes.
- Perform risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in technology and digital systems, providing recommendations for remediation.
- Conduct thorough and detailed audits of IT and cybersecurity controls, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and finance, to gather necessary information and data for audits.
- Analyze and interpret audit findings, identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable recommendations.
- Communicate and present audit results to senior management, highlighting key risks and issues and providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and developments in technology and cybersecurity, identifying potential risks and threats to the organization.
- Provide training and guidance to junior auditors and other team members on technology and cybersecurity audit processes and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives related to technology and cybersecurity audit, as assigned by management.
Extensive Knowledge Of Technology And Cybersecurity: A Senior Internal Auditor In This Role Must Possess Advanced Knowledge And Understanding Of Emerging Technologies, Cybersecurity Risks, And Industry Best Practices. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Network Security, Data Protection, And Information Security Management Systems.
Strong Auditing And Risk Assessment Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Thorough And Effective Audits, Including Risk Assessments, Control Testing, And Gap Analysis. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Audit Strategies And Plans.
Relevant Certifications: A Senior Internal Auditor In Technology And Cybersecurity Audit At Verizon Should Hold Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp).
Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Internal Audit Team, This Individual Must Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Interact With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, It Teams, And External Auditors.
