Job Description

West Virginia United Health System is seeking a compassionate and qualified Diabetic Nurse Educator to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational services to patients and families with diabetes, and for developing and implementing strategies to improve diabetes management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field, be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of West Virginia, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in diabetes care. They must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate with other healthcare team members. An Associate’s Degree in Nursing and/or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification is a plus. We are looking for someone who is confident and capable, and has a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients and families about diabetes management and preventive strategies
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve diabetes management
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other healthcare team members
  • Provide exceptional patient care
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about diabetes and related conditions
  • Monitor patient progress and outcomes
  • Keep abreast of new developments and best practices in diabetes care
  • Prepare and maintain patient records and other related paperwork

Job Qualifications
