Job Description

The West Virginia United Health System is looking for an experienced and motivated professional to serve as our Director of Healthy Minds. This role is an integral part of the team and requires a unique combination of skills and expertise. The ideal candidate should be an organized, self-motivated leader who can create and maintain positive relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.To ensure success, the Director of Healthy Minds should possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. They should be comfortable leading and managing a team of professionals, as well as working independently. The successful candidate should also have a passion for helping individuals in need and a strong commitment to providing quality care.Required Qualifications:• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical setting• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role• Knowledge of mental health, trauma, and substance abuse treatment• Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• CPR and First Aid certificationIf you are a compassionate leader with the skills and experience needed to excel in this role, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct supervision and support to staff in order to ensure quality services are provided to clients.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies for providing mental health services and programs.
  3. Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  4. Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
  5. Maintain accurate records of client progress and services provided.
  6. Research and recommend best practices for providing quality mental health care.
  7. Develop and review policies and procedures related to mental health services.
  8. Train and mentor staff on mental health best practices.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Participate in meetings with external stakeholders.
