
Laboratory Assistant-Phlebotomist
At West Virginia United Health System, we are looking for a motivated and compassionate Laboratory Assistant-Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples, as well as other laboratory tasks. Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform laboratory tests on collected samples and record results.
- Maintain and update patient records.
- Prepare laboratory specimens for transport.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in training new staff members.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Follow all regulations and guidelines set by the laboratory.
- Perform other laboratory tasks as needed.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Or Clinical Laboratory Technician (Clt)
Basic Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety And Infection Control Procedures
