The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.Required qualifications for this position include a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare coding, a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential, and a working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all hospital coding, including performing audits and quality assurance reviews.
- Supervise coding staff and provide guidance and training for coding personnel.
- Educate healthcare providers and other team members on coding regulations and standards.
- Monitor coding performance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Respond to coding questions and inquiries from staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
- Assist in developing and implementing coding policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Participate in coding-related committees and meetings.
- Maintain accurate coding records and documentation.
- Assist in developing and monitoring coding budgets.
