This includes performing audits and quality assurance reviews, supervising coding staff, and educating healthcare providers and other team members on coding regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.Required qualifications for this position include a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare coding, a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential, and a working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accuracy and integrity of all hospital coding, including performing audits and quality assurance reviews.
  2. Supervise coding staff and provide guidance and training for coding personnel.
  3. Educate healthcare providers and other team members on coding regulations and standards.
  4. Monitor coding performance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Respond to coding questions and inquiries from staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
  6. Assist in developing and implementing coding policies and procedures.
  7. Keep up to date on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  8. Participate in coding-related committees and meetings.
  9. Maintain accurate coding records and documentation.
  10. Assist in developing and monitoring coding budgets.
