Industrial Hygienist

Westar Energy is looking for an experienced, dedicated Industrial Hygienist to join our growing team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for assessing and identifying hazardous materials in the workplace, conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans. As such, you must be able to effectively communicate with and advise workers on safety and health issues. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to working in a team environment and is able to take initiative to proactively identify and address workplace safety issues.To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene or a related field. In addition, you must have at least 5 years of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field, and must possess a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene principles. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Lastly, you must have a valid driver’s license.
